Coconut Oil Pulling

Coconut oil pulling is cleansing to your toxic system.

Needed:

Tooth brush
Toothpaste
Tongue scraper
VCO
Mouth wash or colloidal silver
Water
Clock

Method:

  1. Brush your teeth/scrape your tongue.
  2. Floss.
  3. Put a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil in your mouth (more or less as is comfortable for you) and swish it around. After a few seconds, the VCO will become thinner as it gets mixed with your saliva. At a certain point, it will no longer be comfortable to be kept in your mouth. Spit this into tissue then your trash can (instead of the sink so that it doesn’t clog your drain) Repeat step 3 for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Use your mouth wash or colloidal silver as a final rinse.

The best time to do this is in the morning but I sometimes do it a different time of the day.

I like the brand Peter Paul because it doesn’t have a weird smell, but use whichever brand you like.

Feeling fatigued? These helped me. Let me know if things improve with you.

Sleeping early and sleeping 8 hours a day. (If I sleep 8 hours but don’t sleep early enough, it still affects me somehow. I could never be in the BPO industry!)

No cell phones, tablets, laptops or TV in the bedroom.

Using an actual alarm clock to wake you up.

Exercising 30 min a day but preferably not in the evening.

Coconut oil pulling once a day.

Deep breathing in nature.

Juicing greens. (Avoid buying grocery store juice which may contain sugars or preservatives.)

Eating more greens.

Forgiving other people. Unforgiveness causes acidity in the body.

No alcohol.

No candies and no sugar. (Lots of Pinoy food has sugar, even in seemingly unsweetened food like adobo and tapsilog)

No caffeine.

No energy drinks.

Fasting. It could be juice fasting/water fasting  the entire day.

Taking a food intolerance/allergy test (then avoiding food that causes my system stress and tiredness)

Eating less restaurant food. More home cooked food from scratch. As close to nature as possible. Or raw if possible. (Actually my health mentor would say, 100% raw is best)

Eating less food that has unpronounceable ingredients.

Eating more ripe fruit.

Using coconut oil in recipes that call for olive oil.

Drinking lots of water during the day. Less toward evening. You need to figure out your ideal no. of ml for yourself. For me it’s  more than a liter a day.

Dry skin brushing.

Walking barefoot on grass for a few minutes.

And last but definitely not least: go raw for a week.

Let me know which items need more explaining.

Would be happy to expound.

What was that?

The other day I found pink marks on my skin that looked like mosquito bites. I was so scared that I was coming down with something because I felt feverish. However, when I would check the thermometer, my temperature was normal.

What helped me? One day of lots of green juice,  water, and sleep, sleep, sleep.

No drugs. Thank you God for the plants you created that are super healing to the body!

Green Juice to get rid of whatever that was

Ingredients:

Cucumbers
Celery
Ginger
Kale
Calamansi
Carrot

Juice everything!

It doesn’t taste like juice bar green juice but it worked.

Summer Super Bowl

Loved having our little potluck! Princess asked for the recipe-we truly enjoyed having eaten a lot but not feeling bogged down or sleepy afterwards. Here you go, Princess! For the potluck I double-portioned the salad.

Salad:
greens
lemon
salt
spiralized carrot (could also be chopped)
spiralized small sweet potato
1 tablespoon coconut butter for topping
1 small red bell pepper (matchstick slices)
1 sheet of nori (cut into strips or torn by hand)

Dressing:
2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
1 small garlic clove, smashed
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon coconut butter
water to get desired texture

(mix well)

Enjoy!

Til our next potluck/raw plantbased learning session!

(This dish is a variation on Mimi Kirk's Buddha Bowl)

I filed it under Salads, not Bowls in Recipes.

Recharge!

I have a confession to make. I have not been sleeping early lately and it has left me feeling tired and unalert. It's time to recharge!

Ingredients:

1 mango
1 banana or 1/2-1 cup papaya
1/2 cucumber
1/4 pineapple
1 cup water or buko juice

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in your Vitamix and blend until smooth.
For other blenders, make sure you exclude the core of the pineapple and also chop the ingredients, especially the cucumber and pineapple into smaller pieces before blending. You might also want to add the ingredients in two by two.

Have you tried this recipe for yourself?

Banana bowl

This is a recipe inspired by Banana Smoothie Bowl in RAW-VITALIZE by Mimi Kirk and Mia Kirk White.

Thanks Andro for requesting it!

Ingredients:

2 frozen ripe saba
1 ripe mango
1 peeled apple
1/2 teaspoon coconut nectar, agave nectar or maple syrup or your preferred syrup
1 tablespoon coconut mylk or mineral water (add more coconut mylk or water if blending in another blender)

Toppings:
2 pecans (1 pecan chopped and the other left whole)
2 small handfuls pumpkin seeds
2 teaspoons flaxseeds
1 tablespoon raisins
1 dash cinnamon and cardammom
1 drizzle coconut nectar, agave nectar, maple syrup or your preferred syrup
1 tablespoon coconut butter

Procedure:

Chop the banana and apple into chunks. And carefully mix in coconut nectar and coconut  milk.  Optional: mix everything in your Vitamix. Sprinkle in the toppings.

It's your choice to cut the coconut butter into chunks all around the recipe, or to place in a large dollop at the center of the recipe for visual interest.

Please let me know if you enjoyed the recipe!

I sent you two big boats, you dummy!

I have three friends who now have cancer. I met someone who taught me a solution to it—and it applies even to those who have autoimmune diseases.

However, when I offer this option to others, I find that they don’t want to go the route of eating with discipline, avoiding high temperatures in preparing mostly plant based food, and sleeping early, exercising daily, drinking water, taking digestive enzymes, and other detoxification methods.  They would rather have prayers and God’s miraculous hand rescuing them from out of it.

Does it remind you of the scene in The Pursuit of Happyness where the little boy told his father this joke?

:( :(  :(

I love you my friends. I wish you would jump in the boat, but I can’t make your legs do what you yourself don’t want to do.

To readers who aren't ill: Would you like to know if you would be susceptible to cancer? Or maybe some other disease?

There's a DNA test that allows you to find out. Easy peasy. Let me know if you want to try it.
